Oh What a BEAUTIFUL day!

Coffee - Sunshine - Bayview....perfect start!

And a beautiful morning for a ride -

Next up - breakfast - Once again our breakfast preference didn't work out.  CLOSED until 4:30.  Of course I said "that's it....we are NOT supposed to eat here this trip"!  LOL

But this place looked very inviting...

And as soon as I walked in, this beautiful quilt was hanging as a raffle.

Yep - bought my tickets and it will work out just fine that the drawing is Thanksgiving weekend....I'll be in town already so can just swing by and pick up my win =)

Breakfast was awesome!  We even had 'apple pie moonshine' for dessert, ha!

Time to swing by and grab our ridding partners -

we decided to head to Seaford, Delaware first.  What a beautiful ride.  And of course that place was hopping! ALL kinds of bikes  -

Time to head to Perdue Stadium and Winter Place Park - oh but wait!  Not until we stop and get a picture of the place Ronnie had one of his birthday parties hehe

And then we arrive - into the sea of bikes!

Not really too impressed with what was there so we hit the shuttle

And just so you know, as usual I wasn't paying attention so when I stopped in the middle of the road to take this picture, lots of bikes had to stop too.  Yep.....I caused a scene, LOL

over to Winter Place Park - nothing like some Twisted Tea =)

Just a few things to look at here then back on the shuttle to get back to the bikes.  And our final stop for the day?!  YAY - We get to see NANNY!!

Always fun chatting with her.  She loves to give me a hard time about the sporadic updates to our blog =(

We made it through the Friday night traffic and Ronnie even started a little project --

Time to stay out of his way.....I think I'll just enjoy the view -

and Pizza it was!

Fun fun day!  Now off to breakfast, the 'bench blessing' and Chincoteague!

OC Bike Week (weekend =)

Yep, we decided to come this year -  so we loaded up the bike and hit the trail yesterday afternoon.  We decided on a small place since it was just the two of us - This place was awesome to work with -

We got our keys and goodie bag -

Then arrived -

It will do!

Unloaded the bike -

Parked the trailer -

Unpacked our stuff - Then went for a quick ride to check in with my sister and bro-in-law.  Still kinda quiet out there.  I would guess today will be pretty busy though.

Because we watched were hooked on the view -

It was too late to go to one of our favorite restaurants so we stopped here....we have wanted to check it out.

And we weren't disappointed!  Ronnie got a oyster burger -

and I chose the fresh blackened salmon - Yes, I was an expensive date, LOL

but it was AWESOME!

And to wrap up the evening.....ice cream it was!

So I'd say it was a pretty good 'kick-off' for the weekend.  Happy Friday!

Friends vs. Acquaintances ?

Ronnie and I have met a lot of people over the past several years as we have visited wineries in the Virginia and Maryland circuits.  Some we have become friends with and some simply acquaintances. in both scenarios, fun is always to be had.

On Saturday evening we were to attend the Doukenie Fall Concert.  Unfortunately the rain caused an issue which resulted in the 'concert' being cancelled.  Maria still wanted us to all come over so they stayed open until 9.

We enjoyed the music of these two -

while tasting the newest release....Zeus.

Debra is very talented -

And it was great talking with them.  We laughed.  We attempted to get them 8 more 'likes' on Facebook.  We talked about where we live, what we do and what's on our agendas next.  These two are actually going to live solely in Nashville in the next few weeks.

We talked about what it's like there and agreed that we need to visit.  REAL soon =)  So we can now say we have 'acquaintances' in Nashville.  The Hummingbyrds!  And we knew them way back when =)

Just a little taste -

So - a few weeks ago Mrs. Kathy called me from my favorite quilt shop.  She asked if I could come over Monday evening for an open house.  After making sure I already didn't have something, I committed.  I have to say I was just a little excited.  It had been a long time since I had visited.

As anticipated, I was greeted with open arms, coffee and cupcakes.  Wilsons is introducing their new "brother" =)

Oh my - it was SO fun to use.  Look at the big screen -

and scan in a picture -

adjust on the screen -

and embroider!  Oh my goodness.  It can even stipple.  Woohoo!  Definitely on my wish list.

And of course now I have the fever -  I'll start with an easy one....cut my squares

Cut the padding -

Pin together -

then sew the X -

Hoping for the finished product by midnight Wednesday - I might be burning the midnight oil =)
