And what did we do?

Well - we drank hot chocolate -

and I have to tell you this machine is my all time favorite.

Yes, I love my Keurig but there's something special about the results using milk and mix and the ability to add some chocolate =)

You can buy your now on amazon, using this LINK definitely a must have if you too enjoy your hot chocolate....

And O M G - we have been watching the previews for the new show Teachers that comes on Wednesdays at 10:30.  Yep there's a reason it's on late.  THIS show is hilarious!

With Cierra on her way to becoming an elementary teacher, we just had to watch.  We laughed the entire time.  Ronnie recorded both episodes so far and will continue to record....Cierra has GOT to watch these.

Let's see - I put some stuff on eBay to sell.  Oh and those of you that laugh at me for taking pictures of my food - well hear this!  I enrolled in THIS course -

And I am so excited - there are 130 tutorials.  They are quick, to the point and easy to understand.  I have already watched quite a few.  My goal is to complete the entire course by the time I go back to work.  (hoping we are off Monday, haha)

I also cleaned out one corner of my sewing/craft bonus room that had some scrapbooking books.  Who uses books these days?!  I am hooked on SHABBY FABRICS - I have learned SO much and love the tutorials.  I will be sharing some of the things I have made in upcoming posts.  But, it includes zipper bags, back packs, pillows, lots of cool stuff.    If you are into sewing and quilting, you must check Jennifer out.  Her story is pretty cool too.  Her and her husband were both pilots and after 9/11 they changed their course of life.

ok, that's enough for now.  I have shared a few things that you, too can spend some time doing.  Enjoy!

My 2 cents -

Anyone that knows me KNOWS I ALWAYS have a camera with me.  Well, I should say at least one camera other than my iPhone.  I always have a small point and shoot and then when planned, have my Canon 70D with a big ole heavy 24-70 lens =)

Sometimes I am caught off guard and need a good picture of something and don't have my big camera.  Well fear not folks, I am going to prove that it really is ok to use a small camera.  This picture was shot with the Canon G7x - totally automatic -

The detail in this picture is very close to my slr.  Here's another one that is more landscape -

So here you have it or see it - you don't need a big, expensive camera to take beautiful pictures.

I also use Lightroom and pay $10 a month for the whole kitten caboodle for Adobe but downloaded PicMonkey today and there is all kinds of cool stuff in this package for only $5 a month.  So if you are apprehensive about the Adobe packages, check out PicMonkey - it seems very easy to use so far.

Happy Friday!

Picture perfect -

I love old barns and pass this one every time I go to the ballfield. This evening it just seemed to be a perfect photo op with all the yellow flowers lining the road.

Where has the time gone?

It doesn't seem that long ago that these two were inseparable. Nicole was typically in the motorhome whenever we were heading out of town. Disney was a real treat as they rode around the campground in our 'rented' golf cart. I recall one really funny story when they came home later than normal and came face to face with an armadillo! We still talk about that story....but now these two are both out and about on their own, all grown up!

Today I had the honor of photographying Nicole and Avarie...we spent several hours trying to get all the right shots. It was a lot of fun and allowed me to use some of my newly developed photography skills. Nicole, I hope you enjoy all the pictures!

Parellel lines....

One of my photo projects was using lines to draw the attention to my subject. I came across this one when I was looking through some old stuff and a certain "someone" suggested I use this...
This one was taken in Harpers Ferry and I LOVE it down there. Britt, Ash, Kayden and Cierra and I are heading down there on Sunday for another photo shoot so stay tuned. Plus it gives me lots of opportunities to wrap up my photo portion of a couple more units....gotta get movin'!
Busy weekend ahead..Golden Girls party tonight, baseball kicks off tomorrow then birthday dinner for Grandma!
