It's a yearly event!

And Saturday was an awesome day for it!  Sunny.  55 degrees.  I even had a 'buddy' -

Ok, so she took a little nap, ha!  She was awake shortly after the fire trucks made their debut and then enjoyed the entire parade.

She helped decorate this beauty (well kinda) -

And time is running out....the drawing takes place on Sunday.  Wonder WHO will win this 2015 Harley-Davidson Throwback '72 Sportster???  Do you have your ticket yet?

Kendall and I enjoyed the parade from our 'chairs' and I didn't realize it was her 'first'.  Woohoo!  She thought it was cool to see Cierra -

I wonder what she was really thinking, lol.  A lot of our family was in the parade....even Poppy!

And then the grand finale' - I told her she would see Santa!

All these things keep happenin' so it really is coming =)

Sunday. Fun Day!

Cierra gave Ronnie tickets to the Nationals @ Orioles Sunday afternoon game for his Birthday and Father's Day.  Very cool gift and one that we all get to take advantage of....5 tickets.

Today was the day.  It was a beautiful day at that.  Perfect weather.  No rain.  A great day!

So we were out the door by 9:30 - stopped for gas then Mcdonalds for breakfast and everyone was happy.  We arrived in just before noon for the 1:35 game.  We parked then walked a few blocks.  Selfies along the way =)

We found our seats then just chilled until game time.  Beautiful park -

Blake's cousin was there as well so they visited then Blake thinks he can find him, lol

They named the players for the All Star game -

This cracks me up.  Cierra and Blake were photobombed by Chase 'picking' his nose, hahah!

It was a great game.  Yes the O's lost but oh well.  Our seats were awesome.  Family time was great -

No, it's Friday but NO words needed here.

Let the games begin!

Tomorrow is Chase's first game, woo hoo! Opening Day isn't until Saturday but the games kick-off tomorrow. I think everyone is pretty excited. It's supposed to be sunny and in the upper 60's so it should be pretty decent at game time (although it is always 10 degrees cooler at the highest point in the county where the ballfield is). Our whole family is planning to come out so it should be lots of fun. From the looks of it, everything is ready to go. So - Good Luck Braves! This is Chase's last year with this team so we are hoping for a great season!

Show Down in the Valley

Summit Point 12U does Rock!! This team went down to Winchester ready to play ball. After two days and 5 games, they walked away the Memorial Day Champions! Congratulations team and Coach Kenny, Tim and Tuck. The championship game was against a DC team with the final score being 14 - 3. Woo Hoo!

Since there weren't enough players for an 11U team this year, Chase had the opportunity to try out for the 12U team. He was picked up as an alternate for the Sunday Travel League however found out late last week that he would actually get to go to this tournament as a sub due to one of the players having a wrestling tournament. Chase was excited to say the least. He had minimal playing time but cheered the team on from the dugout. He was the 'courtesy runner' for the catcher and actually scored 5 runs without even hitting the ball LOL. He also was the catcher for a few innings due to our catcher being hurt. He had two 'at bats' with one good hit which resulted in an RBI.

Now practice this week and on to "Sunday Baseball". They will play a double header each weekend, alternating locations.
