There is one thing that Ronnie and I just don't agree on (there aren't many :-) but...he loves 'blow-ups' for every holiday and I just don't like them! I don't even like Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus at Christmas.. but, today during our travels, we discovered this particular site within Fort Wilderness that was amazing. Not only do they appear to be obsessed with 'blow-ups' but they are major "stuffers"!!! OMG!
Whenever we start packing the motorhome Java gets excited. Rarely do we leave her home but she seems to have this anxious feeling and gets right under our feet. She's finally settled when she gets a bath and her bed gets washed, YES! she says, I'm going!
She moved into a new position this time and is keeping up with all the 'road action'!
While I can't envision ever out growing Disney, the annual trip to visit Mickey and Minnie just isn't something J, Ash & Britt are interested in anymore. So, half of us are home and half of us are in sunny Florida!
We miss you guys and will be thinking about you. Give Kayden a kiss from Minnie!
Cierra is participating in Confirmation classes at church. On Saturday she had a field trip in which we particpated as a family. It was a beautiful day with so much to see! We visited the National Cathedral, the Shrine of Immaculate Conception and the Franciscan Monastery which is a replica of the Rome's catacombs. There was so much to see. I hope you can grasp the beauty in some of these photos!!
Since we will be in Disney next week, we celebrated Easter with Kayden today. She received her first Palm branch which Pastor Joanna made into a cross. The weather is wonderful. Happy First Easter Kayden!
SIKE! It was such a BEAUTIFUL day today in DC however we weren't able to get 'down' to see the Cherry Blossoms. I think everyone had the same idea. But, we were still able to see lots of blooms even some right in our neighborhood!! Thanks 'Town & Country Nursery'!
Brittany is a 'grown-up' now so she doesn't give me much to write about anymore :) but I would be remiss if I didn't share something about her.
She has brought us so much joy and taught us about "life's lessons". Seeing her grow up and become the 'adult' she is gives us a sense of accomplishment. Brittany has had many challenges in her 20 years all of which she has accepted, dealt with and learned from. No matter what challenge has presented itself to her she has remained steadfast and strong. Although very quiet, the tatoo on her left wrist explains a lot about her.
On Sunday we held our annual Blue & Banquet for the Cub Scouts. This is the 3rd one under Ronnie's leadership and in my opinion, they just keep getting better. He has a great group of leaders who have really become our friends. I joke about stepping down however it really is somewhat sad. Chase will be crossing over into Boy Scouts at the end of Summer (hopefully :-) once he has completed all of the requirements and at that time the current Asst Cubmaster will step into his new role of Cubmaster. Wow - has it really been three years!? It's been a lot of fun and we hope to stay involved as long as they want us. Here's Chase getting his 'stripes' and Ronnie receiving his scrapbook which covered the past three years - we were really busy!
