Wordless Wednesday?

No, it's Friday but NO words needed here.

I. HAVE. TO. DO. IT.

That's it.  I have to commit.  I have never (other than pregnancy) weighed this much.  I sit at work all day.  I eat whatever I want and don't exercise.  B.A.D.  Once I put a swim suit on and said ewwwww i knew I had to do something.

And then came this, my package in the mail...

and then the commitment -

SHEW - it's a huge commitment but so far I have done good.  I will admit that it's difficult given I am traveling today through Friday and have to eat 'bad' food but I have cut my portions in half.  I have substituted a meal for a Shakeology (which are very good) and I am truly trying to eat healthy.

I shared with a  few of my friends (who will go unnamed) and hopefully we will have a JHS Baseball Mom team committed.  Food intake.  Measurements.  Exercise 30 minutes a day.  I CAN DO THIS.  If not, NO beach body for me =)

I am starting at 150 lbs and hope to get to 135 in 21 days.   Say a prayer....especially since this was my dinner....

but don't fret....i brought this with me.  I'll stay up late to make sure I get my workout in.

Anyone have experience with this program?

Peace that passes understanding -

I was raised in a church.  I sat in a pew each Sunday.  I sang in the children's choir.  I attended Sunday School.  I loved Vacation Bible School.  I was a member of the youth group.  Some hymns left a mark on me.  Others did not.

Today I don't go to church.  Do not judge.  I still believe.  I still read the bible in one way or another every day.  I get an e:mail every day from Joel and love  Today's Word.

As I read my e:mail today,  he mentions the peace that passes understanding.  I remember hearing that.  I remember singing that but I really didn't think about what it truly means.  It actually means that we can have peace when it doesn't make sense.  We can have peace in the midst of the storm.  We can have peace in the midnight hour.  We can have peace when gas prices go up and the housing market goes down.  We can have constant peace because we are connected to the true source of peace.  Wow.

So then I googled the song and lyrics.  This is the first one that came up - click if you're interested.

Peace

This truly shows that we can have peace no matter what trial or tribulation we are experiencing.

Peace is now right up there with faith and believe in my choice of favorite words.

Did you know?

didn't, ha!

I was never good in history and honestly didn't like it in school but as I have gotten older the history of things is interesting to me.

I have been traveling for work for 23 years now and most of my trips fly out of Dulles but I never knew why it was called Dulles.

And today as a result of going through a different security check point I stumbled on this....  Interesting.

Check him out!  So he was the Secretary of State?  Hmmm.

And there you have it. Your history lesson for the day. Have a great Tuesday.

Lucky.

Fortunate.
Blessed.
All the above.

That's how I felt when I had to leave Bella last weekend.  She's too little to board.  The hotel doesn't allow pets.  So what does your BFF do?  Offer to take the princess.  Yep!  That's what she did.  But......then came a second offer.  One that included  a day in the park.  Some painted nails.  Some pretty pink earrings.  A new dress.  Hmmmm.  Choices.  The offer was with another baseball mom and of course the BFF was fine allowing her to go to a party, ha!

We dropped her off on Thursday and texted (remember when we used to call?=)  to check on her.  All was well.  Friday morning I woke up to this -

With a text that said "good morning Mommy".

And then on Saturday she got some earrings and a new dress -

and even won a trophy, ribbon and some treats as she came in 2nd for best dressed - ha!

Who couldn't love that little face?!

And she even made some friends during her stay 'away'.  Two little Yorkies and a kitten.  I think she had more fun with the kitten, lol.

Yep - I'm pretty lucky to have someone like this to look after Bella while we were gone.  Well, actually Bella is pretty darn lucky!  Thanks Missy & Mackenzie xoxo

Beautiful!

Yep!  As I worked around the pool area tonight, this was waiting for me.  Very, very excited!  So pretty.  Now I just have about 5 other plants to bloom.

Rookie Ride -

That's how he refers to it.

On Sunday Ronnie along with our Bro-in-law and neighbor joined thousands of other bikers on the "Operation God Bless America" motorcycle ride.

They started at 7 in Middleway and headed to Greencastle to join up.  Kick-stands were up at noon for their ride down Interstate 81 then through Martinsburg.

I had no idea the amount of people that line the streets, overpass, etc. to watch these bikes go by.  My sister and I went to a parking lot and waited.  Notice the bright green shirt? Well, it was pretty easy to spot John, lol.

We waved for a very long time, seeing all types of bikes and riders.  Most had flags or some reference to America.  I heard there were nearly 3000 motorcycles.  that is AWESOME!  And of course my awesome husband took some pics for me #heistrained

I'm thinking now that he has one under his belt he will be doing this a lot more.  Safe riding' to all of our motorcycle friends.....sometimes it gets crazy out there with people texting and being distracted.  It's not the riders I worry about, it's the other people....

ORANGE...

I honestly have never been a fan of orange.  I don't typically buy orange clothes.  I don't really like orange jello.  Or orange popsicles.  Starbursts or skittles.

My love for orange changed a few years ago when my Dad was diagnosed with Leukemia and the ribbon is ORANGE.  Ok, I can deal.

And then.....Ronnie gets a Harley.  Talk about orange.  So my love of orange continued.  hehe

My dad really loved roses but I didn't have any luck with my orange rose bush.  What we did have luck with though are lilies.  I am so excited to see them bloom.  I have orange bushes in the front and back of the house.  I'm thinking it will be pretty soon - agree?

I'll be sure to share once they burst open with that beautiful orange color =)

Baseball......

is life, right?  It kinda seems that way given there really isn't much of a break these days between winter workouts, the actual season then Fall ball but I truly can say I LOVE it.

Baseball has always been my favorite sport.  I laugh (and most others do too) because it's really the ONLY sport I can say I understand.  Yes, pathetic.  Yes, true.

I am happy to report that our season is NOT over yet.  This awesome team -

is heading to the State Championship in Charleston, WV tomorrow.

As the WVSSAC AAA 2015 Regional Champs -

Do I hear a WOOHOO?!?!!

That means on Thursday evening around 7:30 tune in to your radio (there is an actual TuneIn Radio app) and listen to the game.  We have all very excited to keep on-winning.  Our record this year is 35-2 which is another awesome fact about this team.  (I plan to keep my blog and FB updated so stay tuned...)  The boys leave tomorrow and we leave on Thursday.  Lots of support for this team heading to the Capitol of WV =)

And speaking of Baseball, who doesn't like Cal Ripken?  I know we have always loved him as well as what he has done for all the young players.  While we were in Myrtle Beach, we had the opportunity to have our JV team play here -

What a beautiful place!  And even better to get a win on a Ripken Experience field.  Our teams have both done really well this year.  Very proud! And wouldn't it just be icing on the cake if we brought home the State Championship trophy?!  That's what I'm talking about =)
