I'm gonna let it shine =)

I LOVE lights. As a matter of fact, I have so many country lights that in most rooms we don't need lamps, ha!

Last year when we added some 'wine/grape' stuff to our kitchen, we wanted to display some of our favorite wineries' bottles -

And when we visited the Fenwick winery, we saw this sitting on the counter -

which meant we just HAD to share a bottle just so I can have one of my own to light up....and we did just that!

Looks like a perfect project for my DH....right?! It would look perfect in our Lighthouse bathroom and just think we wouldn't need any lights, ha! And maybe we can come up with something 'crafty' to do with some of our other wine bottles. Any suggestions?

Sorting stuff out...

I've been on this kick lately, been feelin' the need to sort stuff; clean out; get rid of what we don't need/use.

Today's project:! The pantry. Ugh was it ever needing a make-over (or clean-up). So shortly after lunch I began. Yep, found more than one of several items that household's really only need one. Got rid of the 'aged' stuff and figured out meals for this week all with what we had right under our nose. Imagine that.

It took me several hours but it's finally done -

Much better, huh?

On a completely different note, am I the only one that has trouble with using Picnik on a Mac? It constantly shuts down.

And what's on my list next? Let's just say one room at a time, 'one day at a time'!

Today's been one of those days. A day where you step back and look at life.

A day when you can't help but wonder why and a day when you challenge "everything happens for a reason".

Yesterday as I was 'working out', I thought it would be ~~fun,~~ ~~nice,~~ beneficial to start cleaning out drawers, cabinets and rooms to simplify.

So tonight as I sit in what we consider the 'old' living room, with candles burning and just a little bit of light from a few lamps, I think back to more simple times. Times when this room was all we had....

for years, a pack and play and/or bassinet was a permanent fixture. Toys were in a bin and candles were out of reach. Our TV was big and fat and small. We all had to watch the same show. Our cell phones were not within reach 24/7.

So just for tonight I'm going to sit here. In this old room, watch the old tv (that's not HD) and pray for the sun to come up tomorrow =)

Welp.....as we sit here watching the Golden Globe awards and watch the temp drop to the low 20's I can't help but focus on something warm.

Like here -

will it be Myrtle, Disney, a cruise?! I'm still trying to figure that all out but I can guarantee we will be someplace warm come April 7th.

I know we have been lucky with no 'major' snow yet but I still want to switch my countdown calendar to Spring Break. Any suggestions?!

Old World vs. New World

Wine making is very interesting to us. We have learned about the many kinds of grapes and it's incredible that the same kind of wine can taste so different at different wineries.

Last night we learned even more. We participated in the 'blind' tasting of Old World and New World wines and Sunset wines. As Nate explained the difference, we could smell and taste exactly what he was saying. We tasted two flights. One Chardonnay and one Syrah. It wasn't any surprise that we were able to quickly identify the Sunset wines over the other countries. As usual, it was a fun time with good wine and new friends.

Yep, Cierra passed her written test so is officially able to drive us around. Hmmm sure glad Ronnie loves this part of parenting cuz I get pretty nervous. She ended up not going to school (make up day for exams) so they had brunch at Panera then some practice driving in the Kohl's parking lot. Fun day for both!

So look out Jefferson County......this chickadee is behind the wheel =)

What I'm LOVIN' Wednesday

Journaling my life is something I do have tried to do for many years. I have at least 5 journals, I scrapbook (when I have time) and I blog 3-4 times a week. Unfortunately though, the pages in my journals are blank, my scrapbooking is behind and my blog?! Well, sometimes you just can't say what you really want to there. (Although I do have tons of 'drafts', ha!)

Several years ago my bff and I had the privilege of skimming through "Ma's" diaries. I could have spent days going through them as her life unfolded. Her most personal, heartfelt thoughts were right there in front of my eyes. Her handwriting is something that could never be mistaken and as the years passed, we could begin to see a change......probably just age.

But, I think it is so important to leave your mark. Let your family and close friends know what was really in your head. And even express written feelings to those that may not really know how much you love them. So with that in mind, I was so excited to find this handy, dandy Mac app!

It has a reminder that you can set so I get pokes throughout the day that keep me on my toes and so far, so good! I'm proud of myself for keeping up and thankful for Scrapaholics for sharing. Every now and then something good does come from Facebook, lol!

All things PINK....

This girl is all about her pink. It can be Hello Kitty, the Disney princesses or even Dora (she has some pink going on). Without a doubt, she loves pink!

Luckily this new 'ride' has some pink and Minnie Mouse, ha!

After her dance class, she spent some time with us, riding her scooter in some 'tight' places, putting puzzles together and playing Sponge Bob Operation and Candyland. She is always on the move and such a joy to have around. It's hard to believe that in just a few weeks she will be 3! Seriously, where does the time go?!

Oh and can we talk about her adorable sweater?! She must be the most trendy two year old around =)

Cierra has really gotten into baking lately. Her Christmas list included Wilton kits that she needs for the courses along with other 'goodies' she can use to practice.

Last night she decided to make some cookies....

And when Ronnie ran into Walmart tonight and saw this little 'baker', it seemed like the perfect gift for Cierra. (even though it is missing one cupcake, lol!)

ANOTHER fun night -

It's funny because I think sometimes we get 'bad rap' because we LOVE to spend time at some of the wineries that are close by. So, just for kicks (and giggles) I thought I would take a few minutes to share the top 10 reasons we LOVE it so much:

We have several to chose from, less than an hour from our house.
Free music/entertainment.
It's cheap.....one bottle of wine is less than $20 and equates to 4 drinks.
Quaint. Each have their own decor but are all very cozy/country.
Quiet. Even when there's more than just the two of us, it's very enjoyable to just chill out and relax for a few hours.
Some of our best decisions have been made over a nice bottle of wine ;)
Very educational. We have learned so much about 'grapes' and boy are there lots of different kinds, ha!
The festivals - We enjoy attending the festivals where all the wineries come together, putting together a day or weekend of fun!
Members only clubs - most if not all of the wineries have clubs. We are only members of two however the discounts and 'private' events are wonderful!
Friends! We have made so many new friends over the past year (or so). And, we even stay connected through my blog or FB or e:mail. Friday night wasn't any different, we were able to spend time with these two -
Stephanie and Paige are home from college but will soon be heading back. We were happy to be able to spend a few Friday nights with them and their parents (who own Knob Hall =).So there you have it. Wineries = Fun times and Good Friends!

Baby it's COLD out there...

That's one of my favorite holiday tunes and tonight, it's SO fitting! We have gone from the 60's all the way down to the teens in just 48 hours. Shew.......!

And speaking of cold?! Well, nothing must do but for Ronnie, Chase and Cam to partake in their own Polar Bear Plunge in Ocean City on New Year's Day -

Luckily the air temp was nearly 60 but the water?! well, it was in the 40's. COLD!

They stripped down to their trunks then - ready, set, go!

Then totally in and under -

and out of the water they came!

straight to the hotel hot tub, ha!

Of course, Cierra, Courtney and I didn't share in any of that fun since we were responsible for all the cameras and the girls wanted some pictures -

We don't make a trip to the beach without stopping to see Nanny. So mid afternoon the six of us traipsed in for a quick visit.

Nanny, well she's not your typical 82 year old. She spends a fair amount of time on the computer/internet and has even been known to surprise the county court house by responding on-line versus in person, ha! She goes out and about whenever she pleases and doesn't require a lot of maintenance. Honestly, it's amazing, impressive and only something we can hope for.

Yesterday's conversation was all about the holidays and she received a gift that even I didn't know existed.

Now she can dig out all her albums, play 'em, hook the USB to her computer and move 'em right over.. Pretty cool huh?!

But I have to be honest, the best story of all is about her moccasins. Cierra noticed them and said "I like your moccasins, Nanny", only for Nanny to say "yep, Carolyn gave them to me. She didn't like. They're UGGs." I thought Cierra was going to pee her pants. UGG moccasins were on her Christmas list but for the price of one pair, she could get 3 or 4 cheaper pairs. We laughed and laughed about an 82 year old having UGG moccasins while a 15 year old didn't get them from Santa.

So once again, Nanny didn't let us down. She's keeping right up with the latest trends =)

That's what I wish for all my 'blog' friends! I can say that our's has certainly started off great! We said 'good-bye' to 2011 with two of our really good friends,

were greeted shortly after 1 a.m. by our four travel partners (although only two opted for photos, lol!)

woke up to the sounds of the ocean and this beautiful sunrise!

So honestly, how much better can the year start off?!

Well, it's not going to start off with New Year's resolutions that I never seem to keep. In lieu of that though, I have created somewhat of a '2012 to-do' (or hope to do) list.

organize my photos. Shew...I just can't seem to find that perfect way to accomplish this. I use iPhoto so have 'events'. Have three Western Digital books and then have some in Photoshop something or other. Any suggestions?
Use coupons more.....I honestly could save a lot of money if I used the many coupons I get (or have access to).
Read the bible on my iPad app. I downloaded a really cool app and so far LOVE. Now, to stick with it.
Exercise regularly. I'm hit or miss here and have about 5 (or so) pounds that I would love to lose. I feel so much better when I take the time to work out each day.
Simplify....everything needs to be simplified for me. I have camera equipment that I don't use/need. I have books that someone else can certainly enjoy. Now that I have my iPad, can get rid of my eReader. Just some 'clutter' that is not adding much value. hmmm....
Paint our bedroom.
Organize/decorate/paint our exercise room
Sew more. I have so many cute kits and love to spend time in that room.
Shop with "green" (reusable) bags. I hate those plastic bags and have many of these reusable bags. It's amazing how much stuff you can get in these bags AND they sit better in the back of the car.

Hopefully this isn't too much to accomplish but I know I will feel much better if I can do it.

So CHEERS to each of you for a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. May 2012 be all you want it to be!

For the next few days I can listen to the ocean waves 24/7 if I chose. And right now, it's dark, in the high 40's but we have the door open just so we can hear the waves crashing. LOVE it!Ronnie and I aren't the only ones lovin' life right now though....we brought along the 4 C's -

That's right, Cierra, Courtney, Cam and Chase are going to ring in the New Year in OC, too. While we're partying with some friends they will be partying it in the hotel =)

and if I must say so myself, the beach is lookin' pretty festive!

Each Christmas Eve we do something different as far as dinner. This year we chose Red, Hot and Blue but the closest one now is about 40 minutes from us. Ronnie didn't seem phased by having to make the trip on Christmas Eve so I ordered.....

Mid morning we headed to the grocery store then over the mountain to pick up our food. Ronnie has always followed the Redskins so thought it would be a good idea to take a few minutes and check out Chris Cooley's art gallery.

They had a game on Saturday so the chances of running into Chris were pretty slim. We hit the door and started checking out his pottery but right before our very eyes who should appear (no, NOT Santa) but Chris Cooley himself!!! Yay us =)

Of course I had my cameras and there was no hesitation to take advantage of this photo op, ha!

And we had to get Ronnie's jersey autographed,

pick up a few items then off we went, VERY happy that just "by chance" Chris was there!

Countdown - Day #23

For YEARS we have heard the story where a couple goes into a restaurant (I think Waffle House) on Christmas Eve and whoever their waitress is, they give $100 as a secret santa; christmas angel; blessing. I have always loved this story.

Tonight, we went to Knob Hall with some friends and ended up at TGIF's. Our server was great. Friendly. Personable. Accommodating. And the secret word was 'kids'. She told us she has two children and she wanted to make Christmas special. That's all it took.

For once, we were able to pay our normal 20% tip and on our way out, slip her an extra $50 and say "Merry Christmas". That in itself made me smile.

No pictures. Simply thoughts tonight and I love it.

Christmas Countdown - Day 22

Procrastinator...Yep, that's me. But I do my best work under pressure =)I LOVE Christmas and honestly, we have been ready for nearly two weeks. There was one request though that I waited and waited and waited. And because I had never done it before, I decided to take a trial run....

We're getting there - Day 21! Just four days left...and even Rudolph needs something to help cope with the stressful times, lol!

Actually that's probably not very nice but just had to share. Ronnie has been wanting some moonshine and some friends of our's came through. And what a cute bottle....an upside down pig. The distillery is in West Virginia - Fairmont. So if you're looking for just the perfect gift for that difficult to buy for person, who wouldn't want some moonshine?!

Sunday was 'cookie baking day' and this little baker was the best!

Unexpected gifts....

On this 20th day of Christmas I want to share the gift that was waiting for me yesterday at work -

and I was totally ~~sad~~ surprised, happy, excited; tons of emotions went through my mind. You see for as many years as I can remember, the week of Christmas I always got a box. Just like this one. Full of delicious chocolates. Made just for me (and a few others). I was always so excited and was known to eat the whole box by myself; the same day I received, ha! And when I did, a few pieces would be ~~snuck~~ shared with me so I could take them home to Ronnie. So why would it be different this year? Well, because Greg left us 8 months ago. (has it really been 8 months?) And even after 8 months, the office still isn't the same. But today, the Christmas candy memory became reality. At this time of year it has to be tough for Donna yet she somehow found a way to make us smile.

I guess you could say this little box was 'heaven sent'!

So thanks Greg (and Donna)......may peace be with you this holiday season. You will never be forgotten.

Pastor Joanna spoke to the children today about Mary.....Mary had a little lamb and it's fleece was white as snow.

Well, that's not necessarily so about this lamb -

Wow! Reba looks different; just a little thicker, ha! She's been with the Corbett's since September when we took her there to be bred. We got the 'all clear' a few weeks ago that she could come home as she was confirmed pregnant. Woo hoo! Looks like we'll be having a lamb or multiple lambs in February/March which means we have a lot of preparing, and reading to do between now and then. Definitely exciting!

I was happy to see that she is still photogenic =)

So welcome home Reba! Just in time for the holidlays.

Just ten days til the big day! Oh my.

Thursday nights are always fun for us. It's actually Ronnie's "Friday" so there's no rushing. It's usually a pretty relaxing night and what we consider the 'kick off' to the weekend. Tonight was no different.

While Kayden was visiting Santa -

we were at the Old Opera House experiencing "It's a Wonderful LIfe". What a great story -

Oh how I love this time of year..... I love the countdown to Christmas and all the excitement. And it's the ONLY time secrets are allowed =) But honestly, it the little things that actually make it all worthwhile. It's things money simply can't buy.

So, you gotta listen closely - and don't worry, there's no picture.

I think you'll agree that this is PRICELESS. Kayden loves to sing but doesn't like getting 'caught', lol!This will definitely be something we will look back on year after year!

During the holiday season I spend my evening 'travel time' with John Tesh. I learn something new every day. Seriously. He is just such a cool person.

Yesterday he spoke about those of us that save for the future (or those that don't). He said research has shown that those that can 'see' themselves 20 years from now tend to save more. He even went as far as to share a web-site that would allow us to actually 'see' our 'aged' self. Of course I had to write it on the palm of my hand (because that's where I take my best notes, lol) but then forgot about it. And, tonight as I am catching up on e:mails, FB and blog updates I remembered, ha!

I am thankful -

That Chase's visit to the ER wasn't as serious as it could have been -

Yep, sounds like him and a soccer ball at school didn't get along too well yesterday and we originally thought it was a stubbed toe but.....late last night it wasn't looking too hot so off to the ER Chase and Ronnie went at about 10:00.

When they arrived back home after 2:00 this morning with his toe/foot wrapped, crutches and a confirmed broken toe. Hmmm. I guess it could have been worse, right?!

Well.....just last Sunday this bat was swinging as baseball kicked off with some 'off season' conditioning.

But he's determined to participate as much as possible next Sunday =) He LOVES baseball and I'm thinking 2012 is gonna be a great year for that =)

Just 13 days til Christmas?! Oh my.Tonight was the 4H party. Games were played, gifts exchanged and yummy snacks shared. What fun. It's almost as if the feeling of Christmas was upon us in a matter of minutes. And, sometimes it's the smallest, most simple gift that wins the heart.....and what other than a usb tree?!

I loved it and had to borrow, just to light up my little corner of the room =) It was one of Chase's gifts but somehow I'm thinking it would be a perfect 're-gift'...yeah!

Speaking of hearts - this is Cierra's art project. She is very creative and artistic....which is why just maybe, she will be the perfect pastry chef one day!

And the countdown continues....time is ticking away! Some presents arrived today and they were quickly wrapped and placed under the tree. I'm down to just a few more things which feels pretty good....

While some folks (even our own children) were experiencing the hustle/bustle of Christmas shopping tonight, Ronnie and I were chillin' out at Knob Hall Winery. It was calm, peaceful, quiet and very quaint...

The barn looked beautiful, with Lauren always making us feel very welcome -

the Christmas songs were my favorite -

and the owner insisted on taking our picture by the tree -

Yep, it was a pretty good night, ha!

Season of Giving.....Take 2

Day 7 - Tonight some members of the 4H group went shopping for a 'Christmas' family. As always, we pick a family member and split up. Chase, Damian and a few other boys picked the 2 year old. Clothes were not a 'wish', only learning toys. Chase seemed excited to learn that they had $100 to spend. Hmmm.I caught up to them in the toy section and they had two items. Both, good choices. Very educational. When I asked what else they were going to buy, there was hesitation. They had already spent $50 and only had two toys. Wow. As they began searching and calculating, Chase quickly picked up on the fact that realistically, today, $100 doesn't go far. Regardless, they figured out how to make some little young man happy =) And.......the club is going to make some people happy, yay! In some cases, it was sooooo close........

and at the end of the shopping excursion, we decided we would have one happy family!Great Job Country Clovers!

A Season of Giving -

Countdown to Christmas - day 7 (already?!)

This year's parade theme was "A Season of Giving" so the 4H group combined the Salvation Army, Toys for Tots, St. Jude, Make a Wish, our local Animal Shelter and Food Pantry to make one GREAT float =) -

The kids had a great time putting everything together - and Santa's helpers?! Well, they were more worried about their hair being messed up by the hats, lol!

and look where "Mr. Cool" rode this year, ha!

I love the sounds of Christmas and a sound that isn't heard in our house too much throughout the year is my sewing machine. However, this year won't be any different than those in the past as I will be making some special gifts. Although there won't be many, I still love hearing the music playing, having the lights on and the sewing machine clicking away. Hmmm wonder who the luck one(s) is this year and what it will be =)

On this 5th day of Christmas I'm loving my Mickey house! For some reason last year we didn't get out one particular box that held a memory from one of my favorite places on earth. So when we dug through and I found it this year, I quickly remembered how much I missed it.It's happily placed on our breakfast nook tree so I can look at it during every meal we share there.

That's right....we transitioned from Thanksgiving to Christmas all in a matter of 8 hours! Shew...that was a lot of bins, a lot of cleaning and a lot of moving but it's all done and we are GLAD!

A week already?

It doesn't seem like it's already been a week since we were on the 'Jersey shore' but it has been! So here's what we did the last day we were there.

Once Cierra heard we were camping in New Jersey, her head went to "Jersey Shore". She LOVES that show (a long with a few others in our family =). She asked what our schedule was and if we would have time or even be close to Snookie's house. I went right to MapQuest and sure enough, just about 12 miles away was 1209 Ocean Terrace, Seaside Heights. Needless to say, she was very excited to learn that we could go there on Saturday. The weather was once again beautiful....sunny, 60, not a cloud in the sky.

Ronnie Googled the address and found that there seems to be some controversy over the exact address. Some say 1209 and 1215. He decided to go with 1209.

Our first indication that we were in the right area was the water tower -

we headed 'right' -

and then from the back seat I hear not Cierra, but CHASE - he said "THERE IT IS!". Totally cracked me up that he was as excited as Cierra.

and eventually come to terms with no one being there, ha!

so we took some pictures and I listened to the kids talk about the show, where things took place and how it felt really cool to actually be on the same porch. They talked of the hot tub and deck where fights took place -

and even called about renting this house -

and found out that for $15,000 they could 'live' here from Friday to Monday. Yes, fifteen THOUSAND. I'm thinking just a view of Snookie's house is more reasonable, haha! (and they even have "clean" rooms!

We eventually make it up to the boards to visit the store where these girls/guys work -

And $100 plus later, Cierra now can dress just like they do =) She was one happy girl.

Black Friday!

We didn't spend Black Friday the way Cierra typically does. We actually slept in, had a good breakfast, had a mini-photo shoot - the weather was perfect!

then headed to the Ferry.

we headed to the subway....Chase and Cierra don't recall ever riding, ha!

it was an interesting ride, to say the least.And......we get off on 42nd street and Broadway. Wow...Yep, it's BLACK Friday!

Chase and Cierra remembered Toys R Us but Damian had never been so.....we attempted to go inside -

but exited right after we entered.....TOO many people =)

The shopping was all about Cierra. She only had a few stores on her list with this one on the top -

and right after this picture was snapped, the 'big, bouncer' approached me and said "NO pictures can be taken" hehe......needless to say, that was the last of the pictures in AE and there were SO many things that were picture worthy. lol!We played around a little as we walked down Broadway -

and even ran into Mickey and Elmo, ha!

I even got my picture taken in my FAVORITE studio!

I LOVE Rockefeller Plaza. Always have. Always will. Partly because I LOVE the Today show and stood down there a few years ago while the show was being aired.

Partly because I loved ice skating with Chase but mostly because this is where one of the prettiest trees lives each year! A few weeks ago we actually watched how they found this tree which gives it just a little bit more meaning, ha! But regardless, I'm excited to see the lighting tonight, on NBC. So if you're not busy, grab some hot chocolate and share in the excitement!

So...Chase is frequently called Justin Bieber, lol! I never quite saw the resemblance until this past weekend. As we were walking down the parade route, some guy hollered "JUSTIN BIEBER"! Of course we laughed and kept walking since it happens frequently but, check this out =)

Once the parade was over we wanted to warm up, we wanted to grab a bite to eat and we wanted to head back to enjoy our "2nd Thanksgiving dinner". Hmmm where do we start. Chase decided he wanted to shop for some shoes (NO idea where he gets that from) so while he shopped, Ronnie searched on his phone app for someplace to eat.

(check out all the trash.....so sad). Ronnie did notice a lady that appeared to be upset and come to find out, she had lost her son. She was an 'older' lady and her son was 62. Evidently somewhat challenged. Regardless, he was lost in NYC. She spoke with a police officer who notified others but we're not sure how that ended up. Of course we are hopeful that the story had a happy ending. Anyway, NO ONE else was thinking it was a good idea to grab lunch, lol so we headed back to the bus terminal to grab food there and find our way back to 319 which is where we were told to board.

Ummm looks like we missed the bus - oh well, one should be coming soon (we hope). Guess we will just have to check out the sites.....we listened to a lady read to her cat -

we were entertained by a pidgeon, ha!

but still no bus. Soon, lack of sleep was catching up with some of us -

while other's entertained themselves =)

and I just took pictures. But soon - our ride arrived and off we went -

and boy was I glad she was driving!

An hour and 15 minutes later (she said she had dinner plans, lol), we pulled into the Toms River terminal -

Wishing her a Happy Thanksgiving...

Now it's time to fry the turkey! But, all jokes aside the bus ride was the easiest way to go. It cost us $167 for the five of us, round trip. It was convenient, dropping us off right at 42nd street, no parking hassle or NYC driving. We would definitely do it again.We enjoyed our turkey and this time, thanks to Damian, we fried some potatoes/fries. Very yummy. Some with old bay and some plain.

Yes, I totally FAIL! I promised I would have some pics up and an update from the parade and here it is Sunday night and NOTHING =(. Sorry.So here's the deal....while it was just a little chilly, we had WONDERFUL weather ALL weekend =) Thanksgiving morning it was in the mid 30's and the toughest part was waiting for the parade but once it started (didn't hit where we were until around 9:30) it was all OK. Ronnie was sending pics to Ashley's phone for Kayden to see and of course if she were there, this one would be her absolutely FAV -

and here's the highlights (or at least what I thought were the best =) -

It was totally worth the cold and wait and I think Chase and Cierra would definitely agree. There's just something about experiencing the parade in person. Once the parade was over, we headed back towards the bus depot. Hmmm...that in itself was interesting but that will have to be tomorrow's post =)Thanks for being patient with me =)

HAPPY Thanksgiving!

For the past year we have been planning our excursion to NYC to celebrate 2011 Thanksgiving and honestly it's taken just about that long to figure it all out.Here was our plan - camp about 1 hour from NYC and drive into the city 'very' early Thanksgiving morning to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Hmmm.....easier said than done. But, after a few months of calls and some coordination we did actually pull it off.First challenge - finding a 'full hook-up' campground in what's considered 'winter' in the North. Check. This place had it all....

Next challenge was figuring out how we would make it into the 'City' on Thanksgiving Day. Hmm...bus or ferry. Again, after some detailed research we opted for the bus. After two phone calls I was informed to just 'show up' that morning to purchase tickets. Really?! Regardless, we left Wednesday morning and made it to the campground around 3. We got set up and for those of you that know me, you know anytime I'm doing something I haven't done before, I have to make a trial run. Shew....good thing we did!We headed out and of course, got lost. After paying a toll, did find our way here....

And, it's a REALLY good thing! Why you ask? Because when I inquired about a ticket, I was told they are closed tomorrow (which is Thanksgiving which mean NO TICKETS for us, ha)!. Reallly? I must have talked to 3 different people and was never told this ;( Oh well. We purchased our tickets for the 5:15 a.m. bus.So, spaghetti for dinner, showers then in bed early. But not without Cierra painting her nails, lol!

But eventually, we all went to sleep and were up and ready to hit the road by 4:30 a.m....oh my. Of course, making sure we boarded the right bus.....

And....we arrived in the city safe and sound well before the parade. Starbucks was just perfect =)

then we hit McDonalds for some actual 'food' -

then off to find our 'perfect' spot to await the whole reason we are here - and yep....preparations are underway. The lightposts are all out of the way =)

and now we just wait...

Ronnie loved it back then and it's still something that he carries with him. When he was cleaning out his 'work' van a few weeks ago he stumbled upon it. How fitting....the leaves come down, temperature changes, flowers die and the grass has frost. All with Piglet raking up the leaves. Somethings always stay the same =)

but just as special. Yep, our Thanksgiving celebration was tonight since we'll be in NYC on Thursday without J, Ash, Kayden, Britt & Brandon. So just like years past, the turkey was fried -

it came out golden and this little girl was hungry!

The marshmallows didn't burn this year -

and the kids took care of drawing names for Christmas without any complaining -Yep, if I must say so myself, it was a perfect dinner - thanks, kids!

Now, two days of work, packing and wrapping things up then heading north. Very excited!

but today, it's absolutely gorgeous...a little brisk but sunny and not a cloud in the sky. A perfect day to start getting ready for our trip, pick up groceries for our Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow and digging out our Christmas tree so we can all partake in decorating tomorrow. Life is good, ha!

I grew up in a really small town. The main road was tar and chip, not much traffic and we rode our bikes everywhere we went. Our parents didn't need to be very worried, everyone knew everyone and they always knew we were at someone's house or at the local store.

There is one thing that sticks in my mind though. Right in our front yard on a white post was a dinner bell. My Dad was known to ring it for no reason and my Mom would ring it to let us know it was dinner time. So when I saw Ronnie bring one home I was very excited. He cleaned it up, painted it and found an old cedar post. Then it was on his list to put up. Yesterday was the day!

So with a little help the bell is now right in our yard! Yay!

And I LOVE it!

About a year ago we planned a wine trail 'limo' style only for snow and ice to cause a 'reschedule'. And after many, many months the day finally came. The fourteen of us hit the trail 'party bus' style.

We couldn't have asked for better weather.

Our first stop was Sunset Hills where the group 'tasted', we inducted two new Estate Club members and then shared some vino before heading to the next stop.

8 Chains North, it was! This is only the 2nd time we have been there and we certainly weren't disappointed. We were welcomed by the tasting manager and the group loved their wines.

It was warm enough to sit outside where we shared some wine, laughter and stories.

Then we headed over the mountain to Bluemont. The Fall colors are pretty much gone but it is still breath taking to stand atop the mountain and take in the view.

Our fourth and final stop was planned to be Barrel Oak. Hmmmm once we got there, the owner wasn't quite having a good day and wouldn't let us in. They were turning groups away. Not quite exactly why but after a few words we hit the bus and headed back over the mountain, calling a few places that just might still be open. Yep, we hit Notaviva, they were open til 8. We loved this quaint place and our tasting guide -

Music was playing and they were happy to see us. This is definitely a place we'll visit again. And, it's very close to our home.

Needless to say, we had a great time and hope everyone else did as well.

The Triple C Corral or C and C's Corral or who knows what the name will be but regardless it IS finished!

Yep, it took a few years but the barn is now complete and Cocoa and Puff are lovin' it =) Of course, it's just in time for winter and.....Reba to come home. She's been gone for a few months and is just about ready to come back home a little bit bigger than when she left. And, if all goes as planned come February/March a lamb or two shall be born. Pretty exciting stuff, huh?!

Chase and Cierra paid for all the materials so Ronnie used up some barn wood and scraps that we had laying around and it turned out just perfect, huh?!

28 years ago today my first child was born. I remember that day very clearly. I was so happy to have my own little baby but was scared to death that I wouldn't know how to take care of him. He was so little and soooo precious.

And today? not so little but still very precious to me. I've certainly stumbled along the way through theses 28 years and made my share of mistakes but there's something about your first born...the only child; the one that gets all the attention; the one that scares you when they are sick; the one that you don't want to grow up; the one that doesn't come with a book but you learn quickly how to be a Mommy; and then the one that has to grow up and help out with the sibblings =) Such is Jeremy's life, ha!

Happy Birthday Jeremy - I love you very much and want the very best for you. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Well...not really but we had a little bit of fun 'pre' season with some gingerbread house creativity! Yep, that's right. Our team building event was to create a gingerbread house. We slacked a little because we didn't get started until the day it was due (no surprise, huh?) but I have to admit that we pulled it off pretty good.

Now this doesn't touch some of the other ones, I was amazed at the effort, detail and creativity our whole group put into this event. Very proud =)

We had a lot of fun and the possibilities are endless. I did pick up some haunted gingerbread houses on clearance at Walmart and planned to have a family competition next year for Halloween versus pumpkin carving but now I'm thinking maybe we could even do a Christmas challenge, ha!

Yep, that's about how I feel, lol! I'm not even sure why with all I have to be thankful for such as.....4 days until my oldest turns 28 (wow!), 14 days until we have Thanksgiving Dinner with the kids because.....in 17 days we leave to be sitting on the sidewalk in NYC watching this!

And not to mention, Christmas is just 48 days away...and I've done just a little shopping =)

So why you ask am I experiencing a blog funk?! Well...first, I don't like how my blog looks. I switched to WordPress but quickly reverted to Blogger. I have so much digital scrapbooking elements and papers so not sure why I can't settle down and create my own template. But I need to VERY soon. There has been lots going on around here and my camera hasn't been just hanging in my 'cubby' but I can't seem to find time to pull in pictures and keep ya'all up to date.

So, don't give up on me....I promise to focus soon. This will be a busy, short week AND an exciting weekend. Our first wine trail tour, Party Bus style, ha! With lots to share and a focus on design, I have a goal for this week.

This year will be the 3rd annual TRUNK OR TREAT held at the Leetown United Methodist Church. Cierra started this back in 2009 and it has now become a tradition. Any of you that are local and want to come out, please do. Keep in mind that we average 8 - 10 cars and it's definitely worth stopping by. Most of the families dress up and there will be plenty of decorations....both scary and fun!

And while we're wishing everyone a happy and safe Halloween, I have to share this....our family.....Halloween Style!

Don't they look great?! I have to admit that I have ALWAYS struggled with costumes and only ever once in a while would pull something out worthy of a prize. But from the looks of these, I'm proud to say that my children are 'very' creative!

Sunday evening routine...

For the past 5 weeks, every Sunday evening we take these three -

to the pizza shop (Damian's Mom is the owner) and then she brings Chase and Cierra home after she closes up. But tonight, we took a little detour.

I have lived in the county for my entire life (and yes, I am as old as dirt=) but, I have never been to the original Hilltop House Hotel. Many of my high school friends talked of working there, chasing rats and washing dish after dish for a few dollars but I had never witnessed the view from this old, very popular place.

And the original Hilltop House, now looks like this...

very sad. Plans to implode are underway. But in the meantime, we took advantage of the photo op -

And of course, Chase wants to prove he can 'move' mountains, haha!

We heard sirens then quickly realized a water rescue was underway. We did let the MD state police helicopter that it wasn't us that needed help =)

What a perfect 'hide out' place and, it's just going to be more beautiful over the next few weeks once the Fall colors peak. Wow! Nice find!

I have been known to spend hours putting puzzles together......time just flies but I love to see progress, right in front of my eyes! So of course I LOVE it that Kayden enjoys spending time putting them together, over and over.

She has brought this puzzle the past few times. It's 3D and I struggle...it almost gets the best of me (lol)

While there might be 13 years difference between our two boys, that doesn't mean they don't share the same interest and call on each other from time to time.

That's right...it might be fishing at dark for catfish or maybe even softball under the lights but when I texted them to make sure all was good Friday night and heard that Chase was helping out his brother, my heart smiled =)

He might not have been in 'uniform' but his heart was definitely in the game.

On Friday after the kids got on the bus Ronnie and I headed across the bay -

And I have to admit this was my favorite time of the day...why you ask?! Because we had a special guest!

That's right. We told Nanny a few months ago that we were coming back to invited her to come along. This was her first 'local' winery visit. She has been to those in California. Wow...NAPA valley?! Very jealous. But, we loved spending the afternoon with her -

We did laugh a little bit about the 'personalities' and atmosphere but we had a great afternoon. The weather was beautiful and the scenery?! FABULOUS! Thanks Nanny for a great afternoon.

After spending the day on the beach at the Winefest, we decided to have dinner at La Hacienda. Believe it or not, that was the first restaurant we had dinner at as a couple 20 years ago. I guess it's all about 20 years, huh?!

I had forgotten how wonderful the salsa is AND the food?!

Very yummy and definitely someplace we'll visit with the kids.

In the meantime, happy 20 years to us, too! =)

Today is my BFF's birthday! Hooray Mendie! I hope you have a wonderful day and I'm very honored to have spent the last ummmm 20 with you?! Wow!

That's right....20 years ago today I made a pretty big decision. One that turned out to be a pretty stable, valuable and pleasant decision. September 30, 1991 was the start of my career with a wonderful company! I have seen many changes through the years and feel very blessed every day. I can honestly say that I love my job and am looking forward to many more years.

I'm not spending my anniversary at work today though, we would be heading across the bay to hit the "Chesapeake Wine Trail" Yippee!!

Fall Reads...

Fall is when I generally read more. I picked up "The Help" in the airport the other day and was hooked. I had contemplated but never purchased. Then when I saw "Read and Return", there wasn't any second guessing. I'm only 1/4 in but it is definitely a good read.

These are on my list for next 'purchases'...

Anyone read these or have any words of advice before I purchase the bottom three?

The right place...

at the right time -

Of course, I believe everything happens for a reason which is why I loved the sermon on Sunday. So, here's the scoop. We have not been to church very much at all this Summer. That doesn't mean we are any less of a Christian. Trust me. I still read the bible, my daily devotions, thank God each morning for another day and pray.

Sunday Cierra was Litigurist which meant we would attend church. We are proud of her and she always does such a nice job. As the sermon started, it was around dog obedience school. Then cats. Then the 'meat' of sermon. I'm very glad we were there. I truly believe God put us in the pew for a reason and as I listened, I felt better because to be honest, while I have NEVER questioned whether there is a GOD, I do sometimes wish I could tattle.

Pastor Joanna talked about those people that come to church; dress like a Christian; look like a Christian; talk like a Christian and 'act' like a Christian yet in some ways, are FAR from a true Christian. I know people like that. People that dress, look, talk, and act in all the right, Christian like ways on the surface but behind the scenes (backs) are far from Christians.

We work hard, and earn (truly earn) an 'honest' living, facing our own turmoils yet we believe where there's a will, there's a way. We are not by any means perfect but do try to treat others the way we want to be treated (within reason). I believe that judgement should be left for "Judgement Day". And, like I said, sometimes I get stuck in wanting to 'tattle' to God when we know people are deceitful and untruthful. Sunday's sermon was very clear: you can't run and you can't hide. God knows and for that I give thanks and believe.

Yep, that's what I'm gonna say when this group

takes "Friday Night" all the way to the top because I know it's going to happen =)

Whenever a new album comes out and I download or purchase, I listen over and over. It honestly drives Ronnie nuts but...over the years I have done a really good job figuring out which song or songs would be released next.

And, since for the past few years Friday Night has been our night out, I fell in love with their song. Very fitting. I don't think I'm the only one that's going to like it though...

First of all, I want to thank those of you that have been on this ride with me. Back and forth between Blogger and Wordpress. After a few weeks, I am happy to announce that I am BACK! There were several things that I really like about Wordpress but the things that I didn't, unfortunately pushed me right over the edge of blog world, back into Blogger.

I'm not completely satisfied with how it looks just yet but didn't want to wait any longer to share the news of my decision. So, stay tuned. There's a lot going on right here on our little corner of the world and I promise to keep you as up to date as possible =)

The lifts are empty -

and the deck is bare -

The sun is starting to set but tonight we won't get to see it from our favorite place, we'll more than likely see if while heading over the bay bridge. But, we had an awesome weekend! We packed just about as much in three days as possible and Ronnie and I agree that this is the first time we have been to the boardwalk every night we were here =) We found a new hideout. Away from the crowd but still within view of this -

Our own little space near the end of the beach - Just big enough for two but high above the sea, haha!

Yep, every night we were able to climb up and just chill out while the kids strolled the boardwalk!

We did sneak off one night and grab some fries =)

a little bit of salt and a LOT of vinegar...yum!

And speaking of YUM -
FINALLY! We haven't made it to The Fractured Prune all summer but did today!

Then of course we headed for one last bike ride on the boards and later found out that starting today there is no time limit....you can ride all day. Geez and of course Chase wanted to keep riding =)

The jet skis came home with us which meant a nice little ride to the beach/ramp -

And then just a few hours more on the beach - and the ocean was still wicked today with a very visible rip current. These two were determined once again though...

Which definitely made me nervous again especially when I thought Chase looked stressed when he couldn't get in on a wave BUT then I saw this -

And was certain he was heading out....he had his eye right on them but luckily they were able to get in without his help. Shew...

Finally they opted to stay in close to the shore even though I know it's boring, ha!

Check this out - just to give you an example....

See the 'pool' of pretty deep water then the drop off where the waves are actually crashing?! This lady is standing below the drop off, in water which is only up to her knees but because of the 'break', it looks like it's a lot deeper. The 'pool' was flowing pretty fast right down the shore and into the ocean like a river which was causing the rip tide. It was very obvious as to the power this water had.
And check out where the lifeguard stand is -

They are typically back in the dry sand but this weekend he wanted to be 'up close and personal' with the swimmers...these storms are playing havoc with the sea, that's for sure.

I like these little birds - sand pipers. We don't usually see them.

We cleaned up, packed up and headed out....gonna be a long drive home, already hearing about a 9 mile back-up but it's all worth it. It was a good weekend in OC!

So we're closing this chapter and moving right into Fall. Luckily Fall does hold a trip to the beach in just 4 weeks - Yay!

so while OC was spared for the most part, we lost a lot of beach area. And, we heard today that 'dredging' won't occur for 6 years because it is SO expensive. Wow!

Irene may be gone but the sea still seems a little bit 'grumpy' to me.

Needless to say, this guy was really busy -

and honestly I was pretty nervous. Chase and Damian were determined to conquer the huge waves and rip current but not without one of us having our eye right on them.

But eventually a meeting was necessary -

and I think this just might be a look of respect for the sea....

So what to do when the sea is too grumpy?

Even before Irene, we had plans to come back to the beach for Labor Day. It was to be a family affair, with no 'extra' friends; just a relaxing weekend just to send Summer out and start talking about Fall.

Well.....the 'no friends' rule didn't work out. Cierra (and Chase) asked to bring along Damian and we agreed that it would be fun for us all =)

With everyone picked up from school, we headed toward the Eastern Shore. Remember, it IS Labor Day and we're not the only ones that wanted to hit the beach -

It honestly wasn't too bad. This back up ended up being an accident then we hit another right at the Severn bridge BUT we breezed across the Bay Bridge...so fast that it was hard to get this picture -

our timing was perfect! In all our years traveling across the bridge, we have never seen one of these freighter ships going under while we're crossing. Yep, seen tons of them on the horizon but never one up close and personal.

This caught my eye, too - someone actually hoping to have Irene help demolish their building, lol!

After our traditional stop at Lombardi's, we arrived at our destination. It was dark but here's what greeted us -

The guys got to work -

and within an hour, we were unpacked, unboarded and all settled in for a GREAT weekend....bring it on!

Last week was full of shows.....Sheep, Goat, more Goats and Horses! We totally love the fair and everything about it.

On Sunday, Cierra was up for the Sheep Showmanship and Fitting show.

She scrubbed him -

She covered him up -

Then practiced -

Then hit the arena -

Just in case you didn't notice she takes this VERY serious....

And she did a fine job - she made it to the final round for Showmanship! Not a winner but was one of two of the youngest in the Sr. class. We are very proud!

And on Tuesday?! The Goat show! It was a pretty long day but very enjoyable. Not only did we get to see some pretty cool goats but we also got to experience the 5.9 Earthquake =) Believe it or not, I honestly didn't feel it but I am one of few.....I guess I'm not only deaf but missing the sense of feeling, haha!

I have seen such a change in Chase and his 'showing' skills over the past few years. Makes me smile =)

He had a 'game face', too!

but believe it or not, the judge did get a smile out of him...

And he too, made it to the final round.

Then in "Open Class"?! Who else but this little Princess would steal the show?!

This wasn't the only time this Kayden Brooke stole the show - On Friday she had her first horse show...

Unfortunately we didn't get to share in the excitement because we were heading back from OC but pictures work for me, ha!

She is so precious and certainly has a love for horses. (nut doesn't fall far from the tree, lol!) So really....who can't love the County Fair?!

Mixed Emotions -

Today is just one of those days. The fair came to an end last night with pouring rain which didn't make me happy (since we LOVE the fair) but the kids definitely aren't 'fair weather fans' since they stuck it out til closing time. Ronnie and I spent much of the rainy evening/night in front of the TV, watching and waiting for what Irene was going to bring to Ocean City.

And then this morning as soon as our eyes were open, the TV came on to catch up with Irene. Shew - from the looks of it, the beach house just might be ok.

Then off to clean up at the fairgrounds. The bitter sweet finale'...Luckily this little girl got to come home with us!

Yep, that's right! The buyer (more to come on that later) asked Chase if he wanted her back and he said "SURE!" =) He's hoping to breed her next year for his 2013 Market lamb.

Once back home, it's time to unpack the fair bins, truck, cooler, and all the above, ha! Laundry had piled up all week and the house just needed a good cleaning. A run to the grocery store then filling out ALL those papers from the first day of school :(. That is the worst job! Can't they retain this info year after year?!

Tomorrow is back to the grind. Work and school. Even though school officially started last week, the kids didn't go Thursday or Friday so it really is another start. Bed early and catching up on what they missed because on Friday, we're heading to OC!

But....in all my 'hum drum' day, this little girl was born -

So Cierra got to witness a c-section on a goat. Of course she took lots of pictures (none of which I plan to share) but let's just say it was very interesting....Chase and I caught the tail end of sewing the momma back up which was also very interesting.

Then on my way down the lane I saw this -

And who's just chillin' out?!

Then I think about how lucky I am and how 'good' my life is and say ....geez, be happy =)!

ONE month ago...

the guys were making castles in the sand -

the girls were riding bikes

and beach life was perfect in Ocean City.

But if you're watching the Weather Channel today, Ocean City is like a ghost town; only 300 people on the island (because they didn't want to go) and businesses that look like this:

That's right, IRENE is pounding on Ocean City

So here's the scoop - On Thursday with the threat of Irene making her presence in Ocean City and knowing our jet skis and Mom and Dad's boat may not be as secure as we would like AND us wanting to take precautions with windows, doors and the house, Ronnie and I headed to the Eastern Shore with our trailer full of plywood and all the necessary tools. We had already heard there wasn't any plywood to be found on the island and the clock was ticking. If we didn't get in by midnight, we wouldn't be allowed in. The mandatory evacuation was starting at midnight.

We hit the bay bridge around 8:30 -

and honestly, I've never seen so much traffic coming at us. Boats, cars, trucks, RV's, and it seemed really weird to see the OC buses way out there, full of people. Eery. These signs weren't very comforting either....

And this was our 'Welcome' sign -

Once we arrived, it seemed like a normal night at the beach. Less cars/people but still very normal. We picked up a pizza and decided to get some sleep and start our work in the morning.

Before sunrise, we were up. Look how calm the bay looked...

I guess this would be the 'calm before the storm'...

Luckily I had coffee but no food. Once I headed out, it was very difficult to find something open.

Even Hooters was deserted...

I ended up at Dunkin Donuts and was told they were only selling donuts and drinks. Geez.

While I was out, I had to sneak up and check out the beach -

So peaceful....

Ronnie took care of everything he could -

and even had a little fun -

we took one last look and said a prayer. Hopefully all will be well when we get there Friday night.

And on our way out we saw officers going door to door - checking to see who was still here and making notes....

We tried to go down to the inlet but NOPE!, wouldn't let us through -

We did park on a side street and run up to the boardwalk....pretty empty, too.

And the cars have been removed from the Ferris Wheel -

Then we headed out -

and without local identification, no one gets onto the island -

Traffic was a little heavy with these departing signs...

The further we went, the less we saw however this was a scene more than 30 miles away, IRENE is a really big storm -

We must have seen 20 of these trucks heading down to stage...

We arrived home safe and sound and today, we're experiencing just the 'outskirts' of Irene here at home. But, we are tuned into the Weather channel, trying to stay up to date with what's happening in Ocean City praying everything will be ok.

With so many states/cities being impacted, our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in Irene's path.....

I smell Hollister and AE cologne/perfume coming from the basement

tags are removed from those new school clothes

cups of milk are poured

the big yellow bus stops out front!

Wow - it's going to be a tough 'rest' of the week but these two were up, bright eyed and bushy tailed heading off to school.

I know today is the beginning of another GREAT school year - Good Luck Cierra & Chase!

Cheap fun!

Believe me, that's what Friday night was ALL about. We always search for 'live entertainment' for our Friday 'night out' which typically means we will be hitting a winery. LOVE wine and LOVE free concerts.

We headed over to Sunset Hills where David Davol was playing. Once inside, we spotted a group of women that were absolutely having a blast! Quickly we figured out it was somewhat of a bachlorette party.....wild girls, lots of laughing, limo parked out front....it was too much =)

We purchased our bottle and headed to the deck. We had two extra chairs so shared our table with a great couple from Lovettsville. They talked about their favorite winery which we hope to head to next month. Not long after we got settled, here comes "the bride" -

Of course, I just had to know what this was all about, ha! So I headed over to her table. It was her night out, she was from Winchester, getting married 9/6 and her 'party of girls' surprised her by having an 'ugly dress' party. Each of them had purchased their dresses from a thrift store (except for one - she had this one since 1987 - lol!)

This pink Cinderella dress was a total of $3.69

and one lady purchased her dress and shoes for $10! Don't they look georgeous?!

We noticed an older couple that were enjoying the evening as well and by the end of the night they were definitely into the party...

Needless to say, we had a blast with them. It ends up that their white limo broke down so they were waiting on another. It did finally come but not sure how many bottles were emptied prior to it's arrival.

David put on a nice show, being very patient and flexible with this group. Once things calmed down we chatted with him for a while and will certainly look for his upcoming performances.

So it was definitely one of those evenings where your cheeks hurt. It seemed like 2 hours of non-stop laughing =) What a better way to 'wine down' on Friday and jump into the weekend?!

It WAS a HAPPY Day!

Our weekend was great! Friday evening was definitely a memorable one, moving right into the weekend. On Saturday morning we slept in and were pretty lazy for the first half of the day (nope, no mimosas!) but did get ourselves together for a shopping event with Cierra to celebrate her birthday. And we were off -

we headed to Fair Oaks instead of where we had intended since there is an actual Aerie store there (plus all the others she wanted)! And what started out as her birthday shopping, ended up our annual 'back to school' day. It was actually very nice and a little different this year.....Ronnie participated! It was truly a 'family affair', ha!

Chase pretty much had in his mind set as to what he wanted....one pair of jeans, 5 shirts and one pair of shoes...so once we hit Hollister and he got one pair of jeans and about 10 shirts (they were on sale), he said he was DONE! Well, Cierra wasn't so while he and Ronnie sat in the mall, Cierra hit Aerie -

This was her first time visiting the store so let's just say 'it took a while' =)! But she LOVED it!

We headed upstairs and Chase was in 'shoe heaven' -

Ronnie really struggles when he wants a new pair of shoes that typically range from $100 - $140. BUT.....his foot appears to have stopped growing AND all in all, he only has 5 pair of shoes. Cierra on the other hand, has about 50! So once reminded, Ronnie was on-board. Needless to say I was really happy when Chase found a pair that he liked for $39! Wow, I think that is a FIRST!

The next stop was AE. At this point, 'school shopping' is over and Cierra is now on her own. Birthday money is required, lol. She was very disturbed with the prices and how few items she could get with her cash =( Chase on the other hand decided to take a break -

Seriously though, the best thing they ever did was put chairs/couches in Hollister and AE! Ronnie was in his glory, too.

Our last stop was Victoria's Secret and I must say that I am very proud. Cierra had printed some coupons from the internet and also had some savings from the mail so....she got a jacket and sweat pants, underwear and small mist for less than $20 bucks. GO Cierra!

It was late but Cierra was determined to share her birthday dinner with J, Ash and Kayden....luckily they were very flexible =) Across the mountain we went and this is how she was greeted....

Kayden was SO excited to give Cierra her Princess balloon -

And at the end of a wonderful day, a yummy meal!

And Kayden was so funny.....she 'hid' from the fire and then squinted when she wateched -

And clapped at the cook's presentation, haha!

But the grand finale' of the night was that she was totally in the mood to have her picture taken with every one of us! LOVE her!

I think Cierra would agree - she had a GREAT day!
